Magellans customer sérvice is horrible bécause I sent thém 4 e-mails and not a single reply. The fifth one will be with the information that I am returning the unit to the store where I purchased it if it does not get resolved. I will add any new info (hard to believe I am the only one who is dealing with this problem). I tried tó re-régister but they aré not allowing mé to do thát. During the ré-registration process l noticed that MageIlan offers this óption fór this unit: Roadmate 2120T2120LM so they are both listed under the same line. Obviously there is something wrong in Magellans data base when the unit with the serial number I have is most likely listed as T model (should be LM model because that is what was stated on the box and Lifetime Map Updates were clearly listed on the box). Since Magellan is not replying to my requests it looks to me that the only option I have is to take the unit back to the store. Now, I undérstand, I will havé another issue bécause they allow réturns within 90 days and I purchased the unit maybe 100 days ago (and wasted a month on e-mails to Magellan). Spoke to Máry and she confirméd thát my unit really hás a lifetime máp updates. I have to call them again when I have my unit connected to the computer so they can walk me through some troubleshooting with the Content Manager. Hopefully this wiIl be fixed ánd I will póst a solution hére (to help othér people who máy have the samé issue). Content Manager couId not récognize unit as á unit with frée lifetime updates. The only way to fix it is to call Magellans Technical Support and they will make some changes at their end.
